The White Feather is a novel by P. G. Wodehouse, first published on 9 October by A C Black, London. It is set at Wrykyn school, scene of Wodehouse's earlier book The Gold Bat (), and the later Mike (). Like many early Wodehouse novels, the story first appeared as a serial in the boys' magazine The Captain, between October and March Psmith (the p is silent, as in psychic) features in four novels by PG Wodehouse. A dandyish figure with a monocle, elaborate way of speech, and a knack for navigating wild adventures and emerging unruffled, he was introduced as a supporting character to Mike Jackson, but took over the series to the extent that Mike is now invariably remembered as Psmith's supporting character. The second of Wodehouse's Mike books, in which we meet the extraordinary Psmith, who spells his name with individual flair with a silent P.
